Rory Doherty AV Club The auto-repair comedy has made a significant improvement from its rocky start, but don’t be ready to buy everything it’s selling. Rated: B- Jun 5, 2025 Full Review M.N. Miller FandomWire Like much of his material, the show feels worn out and exhausted beyond the point of relevance. Rated: 3/10 Jun 13, 2025 Full Review Joel Keller Decider We still can’t buy into the raunch-for-raunch’s-sake tone of Tires, even if the characters are at least starting to get personalities and motivations that go beyond just saying offensive things. Jun 6, 2025 Full Review Greg MacArthur Screen Rant Tires season 2 greatly improves after its film-length first season with a slate of exceptional new characters, refining its authentic brand of comedy. Rated: 7/10 Jun 5, 2025 Full Review Jonathon Wilson Ready Steady Cut This twelve-episode follow-up – twice the size of Season 1 – largely follows the first outing’s loose, unstructured vibe, but the overarching story and character development, such as it’s there, benefits from the expanded runtime. Rated: 4/5 Jun 5, 2025 Full Review Alan French Sunshine State Cineplex As Gillis continues his rise as a generational comedian, he proves that he has more beneath the surface as a performer. Audience Member Even better than season one...let's goooo Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/14/25 Full Review Slice O John Lovitz is in here (who I know personally) he singed my subway napkin in 1999, was. Awesome! This show would love to be The Office TNG with lazy funny dirty jokes. Sperm jokes are only funny once guys Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/14/25 Full Review Mohammad A Incredible follow up to an amazing first season! Cant wait for season 3, the new cast are amazing and the returning cast take it to the next level, so much uncontrollable laughter at so many points Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/14/25 Full Review SkyRo P Tires, a television series on Netflix, surprised me in the best way. I honestly thought it was going to be a complete flop — something stupid and unenjoyable — but it turned out to be quite funny and charming. I found myself hooked all the way through the first season. Season one felt a little slow and dreary at first, but it kept delivering enough clever and comic moments to keep me engaged and excited for more. The direction really shines in the character development from season one to two. Will’s character, for example, largely stays the same — a kind of punching bag who doesn’t realize it — but there’s a slight growth there. His ability to absorb all the chaos without much complaint, acting almost like a nervous little squirrel, is honestly hilarious. I love that the main cast is small and tight-knit — just the big four — which lets their banter and humor carry the show. The occasional guest appearances add a bit of variety, but it’s this core group that really makes the series come alive. The rest of the roles — the father, the uncle, the general manager — are there for comic relief and flavor, but they aren’t meant to drive the story forward. That balance is what makes the show so well constructed and enjoyable. Overall, Tires is a well-written, charming, and surprisingly addictive series. I thought I’d hate it, but I ended up loving it. It’s a perfect blend of humor, character banter, and simplicity — a small show with a huge heart. I’m completely fixated on it now and can’t wait to see more.
