Kylie Northover The Age (Australia) It’s not the most gripping entrant in this genre – not helped by the fact that its small-town-big-secrets premise has become ubiquitous – but some powerful acting and an unexpected twist help maintain interest in where this six-part series is heading. Rated: 3/5 Jun 11, 2025 Full Review Lucy Mangan Guardian The Survivors is a study in how raw grief and festering resentment warp everything -- and how surviving a tragedy rarely means getting away unscathed. Rated: 4/5 Jun 6, 2025 Full Review Ezequiel Boetti Otroscines.com The Survivors accurately describes the dynamics of a place where everyone seems to know much more than they're letting on, and grief is a collective issue, while coherently threading together the clues on which the suspense relies.[Full review in Spanish] Rated: 3/5 Jun 13, 2025 Full Review Joel Keller Decider Despite a very generic start, we have hope that The Survivors gets more twisty and layered as the fresh murder is investigated and Gabby’s death in 2009 is reexamined. Jun 12, 2025 Full Review Jane Freebury Jane Freebury A labyrinth of secrets to unravel in this stylish, engrossing drama set on the wild, brooding coast of south-eastern Australia Rated: 4/5 Jun 12, 2025 Full Review Juan Pablo Russo EscribiendoCine Far from offering certainties, the series offers a journey through the gray areas of memory, where the need for justice coexists with the fear of the past, and where silence can be as telling as the truth. Louise S Unfortunately some of the acting was B grade, making made it hard to watch. If you can get past the acting, maybe watch it? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/14/25 Full Review Jim P My daughter was involved in making this show. Allows me to enjoy it on a different level.🙂 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/13/25 Full Review Sam A It’s cliche and over stylized but still good. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/13/25 Full Review Rick B This was a very good series made on the south east coast of Tasmania which is a beautiful area and worth while a visit. As I come from Tassie and know some of the area. great job Tassie waiting for a second season Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/13/25 Full Review Phu V Not a show for those who want to watch an engaging story. It’s laden with mumbling, mopey actors who at times need subtitles for those not hard of hearing. The very slow nature of the show coupled with the dreary scenery and performances at reminiscent of the kids who walked around wearing all black nail polish in high school. Very disappointed in Charlie Vickers’ performance. I thought it felt overdramatic at some points and wooden at the rest. It almost feels like it was shot in reverse order and pieced together because his very wooden stuff is in the middle and the front and back end are very over dramatic. Skip it unless you want to waste a bunch of time to get the same performance at the end as you do at the beginning. Watch the first episode, have someone punch you in the face and thank them for not wasting your time with watching the rest. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/13/25 Full Review Nicholas R I swear I thought I was watching a different show. This is so poorly acted, and so full of cliches I had to stop.
