Rohan Naahar The Indian Express A slow-burn thriller that addresses class-disparity, toxic masculinity, and the exploitation of cheap labour, Secrets We Keep takes a rather familiar premise and transforms it into something entirely more complex. Jun 7, 2025 Full Review Juan Pablo Russo EscribiendoCine The series manages to naturally inject questions about privilege, the racialization of domestic work, and individual responsibility in the face of systems that benefit some at the expense of others. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 7/10 May 19, 2025 Full Review Joel Keller Decider Secrets We Keep is a thriller that doesn’t try to distract viewers by sending them down too many dead ends, and tells a story about class, race and wealth in the process. May 16, 2025 Full Review Kshitij Rawat Lifestyle Asia (India) Secrets We Keep uses the familiar tropes of suburban mysteries (missing girls, tight-knit communities, smug rich people, pristine lawns hiding rotting secrets) but twists them into something far more intimate and morally disquieting. May 16, 2025 Full Review Sarah Musnicky But Why Tho? A Geek Community Secrets We Keep has much to say in its short, allotted runtime. Still, with such a limited episode count, this mystery thriller doesn’t give enough beats for its audience to digest the discoveries unearthed. Rated: 6.5/10 May 15, 2025 Full Review Samuel R. Murrian Collider ... Secrets We Keep explores similar thematic territory to this year's most zeitgeisty hits Adolescence and The White Lotus, and in some ways handles its dark material even better. Marco B this series is agony. despite the length of the episodes it manages to be slow and without any substance. it has no pathos, no rhythm and it doesn't even really tell a story. only a few visually interesting scenes are saved but they can't save the result. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/07/25 Full Review Heidi O Long, drawn out, boring and inconclusive. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/05/25 Full Review Anaclara G Very good show! Couldnt stop watching it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/31/25 Full Review Peter K This has to be one of the best mystery productions have seen in years: disciplined acting and screen-play adds to the plot rather than distract the viewer. The Danes did a great job in pointing-out the shallowness of some of their uber-rich in their treatment of 'help'. Marie Hansen was a standout in the lead role and a perfect foil to her idiot neighbor 'Katarina' so well played by Danica Curcic, I wanted to reach through the screen and smack her! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/31/25 Full Review Sherie C An emotional drama that clearly depicts the power of the ultra-wealthy and their shameless treatment of those hired to serve them. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/30/25 Full Review Samir S Secrets We Keep unfolds with quiet urgency, tracing the disappearance of a Filipino househelp, in an upscale Copenhagen suburb. What begins as a personal concern gradually exposes a layered critique of privilege, systemic neglect, and the quiet complicity of those who benefit from both. The girl’s absence becomes a lens to examine the asymmetries of care, labour, and belonging in a society that prides itself on fairness, yet falters when accountability challenges comfort. The storytelling is restrained yet charged, balancing empathy with discomfort. With only six episodes, Secrets We Keep distills its critique with precision, leaving behind not answers, but echoes difficult questions about power, silence, and the hierarchies embedded even in acts of kindness. This is not a crime thriller. It's a moral reckoning. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/30/25 Full Review Read all reviews
