Subject: Construction worker stabbed to death over missing lighter in Puerto Princesa
1. In Puerto Princesa on barangay San Pedro at 12:15 am, a construction worker was stabbed by his
co-worker after a drunken altercation over a missing lighter in this city Wednesday, wherein the
victim Ronel Macemap, 23, was stabbed by suspect Roy Laspinas, 21, at the third floor of a
building they were constructing.
2. Barangay tanod (village watchman) chief and first responder Marlon Arias said the victim
borrowed a lighter that had “sentimental value” from the suspect while in a drinking session.
3. The victim suffered a deep stab wound on his left chest that cause of his death.
4. The police arrested Laspinas who will undergo an inquest proceeding for the crime murder.

1. In San Pedro City on the barangay Pittland along the Yulo Road at 9:40 am, a policeman assigned
to the Calabarzon regional police headquarters was gunned down in Cabuyao City, Laguna on
Thursday, Jan. 14. The investigator did not immediately confirm whether the victim police Staff
Sergeant Christian Ramos, Ramos was resident of Calaca town in Batangas, he was on duty at the
time, but said he was on board his motorcycle headed towards Barangay Casile when the gunmen
shot him.
2. The gunmen, who were also aboard a motorcycle, fled immediately after the incident, an initial
police report said. The Cabuyao City police said Ramos died on the spot.
