National foreword
This South African standard was prepared by national committee SABS/TC 214, Access
equipment – Elevating work platforms, in accordance with procedures of the South African Bureau
of Standards, in compliance with annex 3 of the WTO/TBT agreement.

This standard was published in March 2007. This SANS edition is technically identical to SABS
edition 1 (SABS EN 1808:1999).

Compliance with this document cannot confer immunity from legal obligations.

Reaffirmed and reprinted in March 2020.

and be reaffirmed, amended, revised or withdrawn.
