Inspector.

 Review of P&ID’s, Piping plans and Isometric drawings.

 Checking of consistency with P & ID, diagram Piping Plan and Isometric Drawing
to size, rating and material.
 Elaborates construction feasibility analysis evaluating the available & drawings.
 Responsible for Piping erection operations and pipe support installation in accordance with schedule,
Procedures, Specifications, Priorities and Availability of Construction Drawings
 Preparing Bill of quantity for pipes & fittings to quantify the items for procurement activities. Interface
engineering with other fields of project
 Monitoring the daily work activities of Sub Contractor and updating Sub Contractor Progress Reports.
 Co-ordination with QA/QC for clearing entire Piping system including Mechanical Clearance, Hydro testing,
Box-Up and Leak Testing of Piping System.
 Coordinating with the Piping superintend for daily action plan and scheduled plan of completion
& preparing daily and weekly reports.
 Responsible for counter checking by Isometric/Piping plan for the spools erected in the correct location,
orientation, alignment and plumpness
 Carrying out final P&ID check of installed piping systems in the module.
 Preparation of “AS BUILT” drawings.
 Responsible for carrying out Mechanical Clearance, Conducting Hydro and Pneumatic tests,
fulfilling commissioning and Pre-Commissioning requirements for the project.
 Preparation of field piping system test packages, including system limit on P&ID and piping Isometrics
 Responsible for line checking after hydro test to complete the post punch list prior to sign-off the test
packages before signing the completion of piping / mechanical.
 Ensure that hydro test reinstatement is to be done as per procedure.
 Cross checking Isometrics with Plan & P&ID drawings.
 Referring codes, standards and company specifications.
 Check all the dimensions and orientation mentioned in the drawings.
 Prepare daily and weekly reports and attend progress review meeting with the construction management
of subcontractors and client
 Conduct tool box meeting to workers highlighting safety policies and procedures particularly throughout
high pressure hydro testing activities with the aim that only authorized personnel will be involved
during the entire testing period.
 Line hydro test walk down with QC of client.
 Witness of piping internal cleaning prior to hydro-test.
 Inspection of filling & pressurization prior to hydro-test.
 Monitor calibration of test instruments such as pressure gauges, pressure relief valves to make sure that
they were properly calibrated and with valid tags & certificates.
 Check flow direction arrows on valves; verify that the properly identified valves are installed in accordance
with the flow diagram.
 Attend weekly site quality meeting and maintain good relationship with Project Team members towards
successfully completion of the project.
