DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

 Witness of Electrodes & filler materials as per standard codes.


 Surveillance during work at site.
 Preparation of daily inspection reports & take sign. by client.
 Review of test pack documents.
 Witness of NDT such as RT & DPT as per ASME code B 31.3.
 Witness of hydrotest and pressure test of pipe and reinforcement pads.
 Testing the Samples as per approved QAP.
 Ensuring QA/QC as per specification and standard.
 Interpretation of RT Films & overall inspection as per contractor ’s requirement and report to client
 Preparation and management of the project quality plan for Engineering, Procurement and site
Construction activities.
 Carry out internal inspection prior to offering to client.
 Ensure that all sub- contractors comply with the project specification.
 Reports on non-conforming material and workmanship.
 Prepare the inspection reports and concerned QC documentation.
 Qualification of Welders as per ASME Sec IX.
 Accountable for preparing NDT plan, seam wise check list.

 Check proper baking of electrode as applicable.
 Inspection of incoming materials by PMI and physical verification.
 Familiar with Materials and Welding electrodes inspection as per standards like ASTM, ASME , AWS.
 Inspection of Line alignment, orientation and dimensions, Valves, flanges, gaskets and bolt torqueing
during erection.
 Walkthrough for punch listing of all lines before hydrostatic test.
 Conduct line checking of pipeline and prepare punch lists works for system packages before hydro-
testing or service test.
 Review that all as built drawing required are attached in test package
 Witness for the hydro test, service test, and pneumatic test of various systems as per the approved
procedure and code specification and offering to the client/consultant to witness the test.
 Review Hydro test package and conduct the same, as per codes and standards.
 Inspection / Monitoring of Fit-up as per Approved GA Drawing / Construction Drawing / Isometric
Drawing & WPS for correctness of materials, dimensional accuracy and joint design (root gap, root
face, bevel angle, cleaning of weld zone, proper support & arrangement for distortion control etc.)
 Daily progress and manpower status and records reporting to client in pipeline Construction.
 Daily checking welders I.D., WPS Copy, Portable oven, Heating torch and Thermo chalk.
 Closely Monitor the Welding Process (SMAW/GTAW/GMAW/SAW).
 Review of Material Test Certificates, Consumable Test Certificates.
