Job Responsibilities:

 To ensure construction follows all the related Client standards and procedures during all the
construction activities.

 Execution of jobs and carrying out the inspections by referring various international codes,
standards and specifications.
 Go through all quality related documents, i.e. approved quality control procedures, applicable
drawings, vendors manual and instructions, technical specifications and standard codes such as
ASME & API for inspect ability and acceptability.

 Performing inspection for piping material receiving, storage & handling for visible damages. For
conformity of specification (size, scheduling, rating, marking, color code requirements) mill
certificates, identification and traceability according to material types (pipe, elbow, tee, reducer,
weld-o-let, nipple etc.).
 Review of Material Test Certificates & random physical verification of material prior to
commencement of fabrication activities.
 Ensure satisfactory identification of materials, proper protection of piping and fittings. Verify
proper size and schedule of pipe, rating of flanges, proper flange face and fittings.
 Reviewed Isometric drawing, P&ID, general arrangement drawing and support drawing.

 Verifying and inspecting heat number, pipe cut length, edge preparation, fit-up, branch
connections, flanged joints, valve connections, bolts, nuts and gasket installation.

 Inspected joint Fit-up, diameter, schedule, root gap, internal misalignment and rotation
etc wherever required.
 Performs Inspection for the pre-installation, ensure the pipe is internally cleaned prior
to installation.

 Inspection of Line alignment, orientation and dimensions, Valves, flanges, gaskets and bolt
torque during erection.

 Coordinating with client/consultants while the inspection is being carried out and offer any
clarification is required.

 Fire water fabrication, installation, package review, line check, hydrotest, layup,
reinstatement.

 Preparation of Test Packages, inspection reports and daily activity reports.

 Checking the punch list items as per P&ID and Isometric such as pipe supports,
valves, guides and approving releasing packages for hydro test.

 Punch listing of piping packages of category ‘A’ and ‘B’ and ensure that properly identified
valves are installed in accordance with the flow diagram, inspection of hangers and guides in
accordance with the piping drawings and the pipe support details.

 Preparation of Pressure test (hydro, pneumatic, and service test) packages and ensure

clearing of punch items prior to pressure test
 Witness for the hydro test, service test, and pneumatic test of various systems as per the
approved procedure and code specification and offering to the client/consultant to
witness the test.

 Organizing and coordinating all necessary items and activities for hydro testing of
completed lines including cleaning, flushing, drying, lay-up, and reinstatement.

 Check and inspect the gaskets, supports, valves prior to line reinstatement, as per latest
ISO drawing, codes and specifications also monitor and supervise reinstatement.
 Witness of Reinstatement of piping system after Hydro test.
 Preparation of RFI for final inspection to client inspector in timely manners as per ITP’s
and coordinating with him about to all issues.

 Identifying and issuing Non-Conformance report as and when Non-Conformity


is observed during stages of fabrication or at site

 Review the projects specification, quality assurance procedures, quality manuals and
method statements.
 Prepare the documents for the QC activities and test packages. Updating all QC
activities and prepare the Test packages status and progress reports.

 Monitor and verify that the work execution and implementation are as per
approved procedures, approved specifications and approved drawings.

 Responsible for fabrication and erection works in workshops / projects sites that
includes piping fabrication and field erection of fabricated items.

 Preparation, checking and review of as-built drawings and getting approved.

 100% visual and dimensional inspection as required to meet consultant and specification required.

 Co-ordination of overall project with project group of all disciplines analyzes


project problems and provides solutions.
