I m trying to set up as my third email in thunderbird an account which is [email protected]. It sets up using the manual settings following their server instruction fine. But it will not accept my password. I know it is correct because I can log in on their webmail site. What can I do? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is a question about the All Mail folder and the Important folder. I wasn't able to find out in the documentation.

There are more emails in the All Mail and Important folders than can be accounted for in my archives, send and received folders. I counted 545 in my archives. I have 14 in my inbox and 51 in sent mail. I therefore have 610 emails in total. The Trash is empty.

There are 852 emails in the All Mail folder, and 550 in Important. The totals don't match up to anything. I find this confusing.

In the Important folder, only 2 are actually tagged as Important. What are all of the other emails doing there? Can I safely delete them? If any of them are also in my archives, will they also be deleted from there, or are they safe? Does the same go for the All Mail folder?

Thunderbird is set as my default email client on my desktop Windows 10 in the default apps and it's set in the Default Programs control panel but when I try to send a document on my desktop to mail recipient, a message comes up saying there is no email program associated to perform the requested action. It is set in Thunderbird as well as the default mail client. Cortana is no longer accessible on Windows 10 on my pc. Thunderbird is set as the email client in the registry settings, I have only a few Startup programs running on startup and cleared the cache in Thunderbird so I don't know what else to do to fix this?

After changing from POP to IMAP to fix the earlier delivery problem, I have lost the existing file structure, filters, etc. Comcast email is coming in fine but there are only 6 folders while there should be 47 and all the filters s are gone. I have tried rebuilding the current global-messages-db.sqlite file but it stops after 12 hours and was only 10% finished at 2 GB instead of the prior anticipated 16 GB. I'm using Thunderbird version 128.11.0esr on my Windows 11 desktop computer.

I have many email accounts in Thunderbird and Thunderbird automatically forwards email from some of the accounts.

Occasionally I will see an error message: "Send Message Error. Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Error sending message for delivery... Please check the message and try again."

Can I trace this error back to determine which email account is causing the error?

After changing my AOL passwords for two accounts today, I was able to generate a login password from AOL and log into Thunderbird with my AOL accounts. However, one of the two accounts will not send email from Thunderbird, but will on my iPhone and iPad. The other AOL account is working fine. I also verified that the SMTP port is 465. So I have done everything on my end, I think there's a Thunderbird glitch.

Hi all,

Whenever I send a meeting invite to another person from my calendar and I include any text in the "Description" tab of the invite, that text from the description gets put into an invite.ics file and it sent as an attachment. People using Microsoft Outlook (unfortunately still a lot of people) do not see the description text: People using the "old outlook" cannot seem to open it at all (their outlook tells them "there is no previewer installed for it"), and "new outlook" will open it but only after an extra double-click on the attachment, which is unfortunately too much to ask for certain users.

So, the result is that I cannot invite people to an online meeting because the link to the conferencing tool is hidden in the invite.ics file.

How can I send an invite where the invite text + link are directly visible to Outlook users?

I'm running Thunderbird 128.11.0esr, no active add-ons that seem related to this.

Up until a few days ago, the app worked fine. Now, whenever I try to click on "share" (say for a Wikipedia article), the keyboard doesn't show, unless I press the "To" button. The keyboard ALWAYS came up automatically before a few days ago. Also, at the same time, when I try to send (for example) pictures, only ONE will get sent. The other aren't included in the email, and there is only ONE attachment. I'm not sure if the problem is related, but it's a weird coincidence. All this started about 3 days ago, and I'm not sure eif it updated or not, but I'm using version 10. Thanks in advance!

First when I try to write an email I put the op name in the To: box but the contact list from my address book I imorted from my new outlook(I do not have 365)does not work -there is nothing. I need the simplest way to synchronize the address book with the To: when I send an email. 2 I'm confused about export and import. I always thought I import from something and then I export to something but it seems that Thunderbird commingles the two terms. I was trying to import from my outlook new to Thunderbird. Is it a matter of language or understanding? Thunderbird seems to work except for the above mentioned feature. Please explain? 5-29-25

Every time I try to sign into my email I get a message that says I can't sign in and to retry or cancel or something. I can see my emails on the ifiber page on the internet but not on my email computer. I also have some vision problems so it's difficult to troubleshoot on the computer. When pasting links into emails, and then "inserting" the link, if you try to add any advanced options to the link (i.e. target=_blank), it doesn't create the link.

If you simply "insert" the link without setting any advanced options, then the link is created.

I got a new PC with Windows 11. I installed Thunderbird 136.0.1 , activated the private calendar, and entered events there. For events with a reminder that have a specific duration (e.g., Wednesday from 10 AM to 11 AM), I receive notifications. However, when I create a full-day event and want to be reminded, for example, 1 day before, I don't receive any notification. Additionally, events with a reminder are not shown in bold in the calendar overview (whether they have a specific duration or are all-day events). Can you please help me?

Yesterday and today has just been a nightmare. But I'm slowly getting things back up and connected after Hostway absorbed my hosting company (HostMySite) and migrated everything to their servers, but forgetting to send me the new login info until after they had terminated my old e-mail servers. And then it just got worse.

I am using Thunderbird 102.15.1 64-bit on a M1 mac. Do not tell me to upgrade. I did, once, and revised search functionality literally had me spending 3 days to manually revert my entire database back to work with 102.15.1. New version - bad. No.

The thing I need help with is that, as I reconnect my e-mails to Hostway's servers, I can get e-mails, but the collected Inbox does not show anything new. When I select a specific account within the collected Inbox, it'll have 10 new e-mails, but the collected Inbox- nothing new.

Same with all the collected folders, Drafts, Sent, Junk, trash, etc.

How doI get the collected folders to work again?
