Birth Name[]
I don't believe Forge's birth name has ever been given anywhere. Hence removing "Sergeant Del Ruiz" as his real name. Please cite issue source of any such name before reinstating it. Likewise, though I'm less certain, I don't recall him being called "The Fixer", especially as that is the name of another character. Lastly, "Genesis" is the name of an alternate future incarnation of Forge, so unless an issue reference can be given for the 616 Forge using it, I have removed that alias. - Loki

Real Name[]
According to marvel.com and wikipedia, Forge's name is still unknown. According to comicvine, it's Jonathan Silvercloud, so I think we should leave the Forge pages as 'Forge (Earth-#)' until or unless we have references for when his actual real name was revealed. --Nathan Elliott (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talk • contribs • email) 15:38, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed. I think that Jonathan Silvercloud was his assumed Indian name anyhow. --M1shawhan 23:38, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Precedents for Forge's ability in historically existing individuals[]
I like reflecting on where the ideas for characters abilities come from and what are approximations of them in reality. There have been thinkers and technologist throuought history, I am thinking particularly in engineering, and physics, who had exceptional abilities at visualising the energetics and motions of systems in their "minds eye" so to speak. Faraday who came up the extremely useful visual notion of the field concept is one of these people. Nikola Tesla is another-- it is said that Tesla could do dynamic "simulations" of concepts of his devices in his mind, something that most of us would need computers to do. Also Tesla was a student of Hindu and Vedic philosophies of energy fields, and said that these notions aided him and inspired him in his scientific work. I have read that some of these people may have been dyslexic as well. I know personally some dyslexic people who are draw to physics and technology precisely because visual intuition happens to be useful in those areas, and dyslexics at times seem to be better than others with visual/spatial relations. --Divisionbyzer0 09:27, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
