Case Study Simulation Part-1

The document provides information about a pipeline system including pipe diameters, lengths, elevations, and known discharge and pressure values at some points. It asks to find the unknown parameters of diameter, discharge, friction factor, and hydraulic gradient for various pipes in order to calculate the required pump head and horsepower.

Case Study Simulation Part One

Find the unknown parametres ( diameter, discharge, F , K) in the given pipeline

shown in figure. All pipes are new cast iron with the following available data. Pipe
J2X is designed to develop maximum power at the end X. Find also the nozzel
diametr at X. The elevation of pipe at T = (72.00) and pressure head of 30m and
elevation at X= (48.00). if the elevation at H = (43.00) Find the pressur at H.
Calculate the pump head hence calculate the pump HP in KW.
