Introduction

 The Online Quiz System is a web-based platform built to enable quiz management and
participation in a digital environment.
 It is designed to be user-friendly, allowing administrators to create, manage quizzes and track
participants' performances.
 Participants can take quizzes, view their results immediately, and monitor their progress over
time.
 The application is reduced as much as possible to avoid errors while entering
the data.
 It’s also provide message while entering invalid data. No formal knowledge is
required for the user to operate this system.
 The project is implemented using PHP for backend logic and MySQL for database management.
 Online Quizz System has two module i.e. admin and user.

also preparing it for future enhancements and improvements.

Existing System

Most of the existing online quiz systems typically include basic features for quiz
participation, but may lack the advanced functionalities needed for better user engagement,
performance tracking, or administrative management.

They are usually static, where quizzes are either pre-loaded or created manually with
limited real-time capabilities.

The Proposed Online Quiz System aims to overcome the limitations of existing systems
by introducing advanced features, better security, a modern user interface, and enhanced
scalability.

 The goal is to create a robust, user-friendly, and secure platform that offers improved
performance and flexibility for both users and administrators.
Proposed System

 The Proposed Online Quiz System aims to overcome the limitations of existing
systems by introducing advanced features, better security, a modern user interface, and
enhanced scalability.

 The software is very easy to use and manage even for a non
technical person.
 The redundancy and ambiguity will be removed by assigning
every Question a unique number
(i.e Question Number).

 It will cater to both users (students) and administrators (teachers or quiz managers).

Admin Module

1. Admin Login and Authentication:

o Admins will have secure login access with proper session handling.

o Only authorized users (admins) can access quiz management features.

2. Quiz Management:

o Admins can create, edit, and delete quizzes and questions.

o Support for various question types, including multiple-choice, true/false, and

image-based questions.

o Option to set time limits, question difficulty, and randomization of questions.

3. User Management:

o Admins can view and manage user accounts, including activating, deactivating,
and deleting user profiles.

o Track user progress and performance metrics.

4. Result Analytics:

o Admins can generate detailed reports of quiz results for users, including average
scores, quiz completion rates, and performance over time.

o Export results to CSV for further analysis.

User Module

1. User Registration and Authentication:

 Secure user login and registration with encrypted passwords (hashing).

 Session management to track user progress during quiz participation.

2. Interactive Quiz Participation:

 Multiple question formats: Multiple choice, True/False, Short answer, and Image-
based questions.

 Ability to skip, review, and submit quizzes at any point.

 Timer-based quizzes for time management (optional).

3. Instant Feedback:

 Users receive feedback immediately after quiz submission, showing the correct answers and the user's
score.

 Detailed performance breakdown to help users understand areas for improvement.

4. Leaderboard:

 Display top-performing users and their scores to encourage friendly competition.

5. User Profile:

 Users can view their quiz history, past performance, and track improvements over time.
