People used to keep actual physical diaries where people write down their
personal thoughts and feelings

Writing in immediate aftermath of an events therefore diary entries and


blogs tend to go between past and present tense terms at the beginning
towards the end of your diary

Towards the end of the diary entry you will be writing in the immediate
aftermath of a particular event (i.e you must be writing on the night that
something happened) so therefore youre diary entry should towards the
end of your diary entry you will often veer towards the future tense (i.e
your hopes/worries about the next day,week or month) therefore your
diary entry/blog should start by reflecting on the day just passed ad end
by looking towards the next dy/futuredo not discusss anything
controversial as you do not know who is going to be reading your paper

Be 100 percent honest confide your innermost and darkest secrets things
that you would not divulge to even your best freind. Remember the only
person ever supposed to see those diary entries/blogs are you. This is one
of the only times you can relax your language being relatively informal
you may even use slang but don’t overdo it. All of your sentences should
be short and snappy and no long rambing sentences as you are talking to
yourself in diary entries and blogs.

Once again you are permitted to say something and then change your’e
mind and you don’t have to justify why you changed your mind as you are
writing down you’re train of thought so you are documenting you’re train
of thought. Trying to use as much with sarcasm and humor to make fun of
yourself this will help you keep your reader engaged or entertained.
Always choose an interesting event to write about if you are writing about
yourself if you are looking to write about a persona from a text you must
take on their mind frame and do not express your own thoughts and
feelings. Obvoiusly this will require you to quickly read through the text to
familiarize yourself with both charecters and the situation. If you choose
to be someone you want to be pick someone interesting Conor mc gregor
or Donald trump and realitivly well known.
Events should be consecutive in chronological order remember these are
works of fiction therefore it is expected that one diary entry will introduce
a oroblem the next dary entry will introduce a problem the next diary
entry will focus on the problem as it unfolds and the final diary entry will
offer some sense of conclusion and hindsight reflection do not include any
of the boring stuff that happens on a day to day basis

Personal blogs are the same as diary entries and should be written in the
same format

Blogs relating to the discussion of a particular topic eg. writing a blog of


the potentaiol of a general election not based on something you are
going through you write it more like an article instead

Uput layout is simple but important and letter layout is important and a
format is important and you have to follow the layout of a letter as well
and some will insists on not doing s lteeer directly
Day,date,time

Then you kip a line and revert to the left hand side of the page younthen
look at your greeting some do dear diary left hand side

Main body of diary entry and separate it into paragraphs skip a line or
skip aline or indent until mext time orgoodbye for now to sign off

Sign name don’t use your name use a basic name like mary or tom
