CHM2 Q2 PT
CHM2 Q2 PT
Task Overview:
In this performance task, you will create a 5-7 minute educational video explaining a
real-world application of Acid-Base Equilibrium or Electrochemistry. The video
should incorporate key concepts, principles, chemical reactions, and visuals to make
the content both informative and engaging. Your goal is to teach your classmates
about how these chemical principles are applied in industries, technology, or everyday
life.
Guidelines:
1. You will work in groups to complete the task. Each group will be assigned to one
of the following:
Acid-Base Equilibrium
pH in agriculture
buffer systems in the human body (e.g., blood pH)
acid rain impact on the environment
acid-base reactions in food processing
Electrochemistry
Batteries and fuel cells
corrosion and its prevention
solar cells and energy storage.
2. The video should be 5-7 minutes long. It must include:
Introduction: A brief overview of the assigned topic and its real-world
importance.
Key Concepts: Explain the chemical principles of acid-base equilibrium or
electrochemistry involved in the assigned topic.
Chemical Reactions: Include relevant chemical reactions, showing the formulas
and explaining the processes.
Visual Aids: Use diagrams, animations, real-world footage, or demonstrations
to make the content engaging.
Applications: Show how the principles are applied in the real world, such as in
medicine, industry, or environmental science.
Conclusion: Summarize the importance of understanding the topic and its
applications.
3. Engaging Elements:
Use creative storytelling to explain your topic in an easy-to-understand way.
You may include interviews (e.g., with an expert or teacher), time-lapse
experiments, animations, or simulations to make the video engaging.
Encourage interactive participation from your viewers by posing questions,
quizzes, or scenarios for them to think about during or after the video.
4. Video Editing and Quality:
Use any video-editing software to create a well-polished final product.
Recommended tools include iMovie, Adobe Premiere, or even simple tools like
Canva or CapCut.
Ensure clear audio and good visual quality. You may add background music,
voiceovers, or subtitles to enhance your video.
5. Submission:
The final video must be in MP4 format.
Upload your video to Google Drive link below:

Include a title card at the beginning of the video with your group members’
names, the chosen topic, and class section.
6. Deadline: The video is due on NOVEMBER 18, 2024.
