Question 1: SOIL SCIENCES

1.1. Study the picture below that show the weathering of rocks and answer
questions that follow.

Question 2: ANIMAL STUDIES

2.1. Read the case study below to answer questions that follow.

The Nguni is a cattle breed indigenous to Southern Africa; this breed was originally
a dairy and draught breed. The body shape of Nguni has more similarities to dairy
breeds than beef breeds. The cows have low loins and narrow hooves like wild buck.
Nguni are highly fertile with a long productive life. They are more resistant to ticks
(and the diseases carried by ticks) than other breeds, and cows are known for good
mothering ability. The Nguni produce high quality meat with good marbling. This
breed is important to protect as it plays an essential economic, social, cultural and
spiritual role in many African societies.
