Solid Geometry

1. Polyhedrons are solids whose faces are plane polygons. Regular polyhedrons have identical faces and include the tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron. 2. The volume of prisms and cylinders can be calculated as the area of the base times the height. The volume of pyramids and frustums is 1/3 the area of the base times the height. 3. Spheres are solids where the volume equals 4/3 πr^3. Volumes of spherical segments can also be calculated using formulas relating to the radius and central angle.
