MINERAL RESERVATION NOTES

 Natural Resources Mining Development Corporation (NRMDC) – Corporate arm of


the DENR to engage in mining activities.

 NRMDC was recently changed to Philippine Mining Development Corporation


(PMDC).

1) Mt. Diwalwal Gold Mineral Reservation – declared pursuant to Proclamation No. 297
dated November 25, 2002, located in Region 11, the two (2) Diwalwal gold vein
systems are: a) Buenas-Tinago vein; and, b) Balite vein

2) Surigao Laterite Mineral Reservation – declared pursuant to Proclamation No. 391


dated March 13, 1939, located in Region 13

3) Zambales Chromite Mineral Reservation – declared pursuant to Proclamation No. 313


dated April 24, 1930, located in Region 3

4) Siruma White Clay Mineral Reservation – located in Region 5, Proclamation No. 583
dated June 10, 1933

5) All offshore areas within the Philippine territorial limits are declared as Mineral
Reservation

6) Samar Bauxite Mineral Reservation – located in Region 8, Proclamation No. 1615


dated February 04, 1977

7) Ilocos Norte Feldspar Mineral Reservation – located in Region 1, Proclamation No.


1790 dated September 28, 1978, 358.19 hectares

8) Zamboanga Mineral Reservation (Malangas Coal Mines Mineral Reservation) –


originally established under Proclamation No. 284, dated July 19, 1938, as amended
by Proclamation No. 402, dated June 27, 1953, Proclamation No. 528, dated February
26, 1969, and Proclamation No. 223, dated February 29, 1988, located in Region 9

9) Biak-Na-Bato Mineral Reservation – Proclamation No. 401 dated April 11, 1989,
952.34 hectares, located in Region 3

10) Davao Mineral Reservation – declared in 2002

11) Pres. Proc. No. 414 dated May 06, 1957 – Excluding an area of 380.5725 hectares
from the Baguio Townsite Reservation (established under Resolutions of the
Philippine Commission dated January 25, 1907, and August 30, 1916) as a Mineral
Reservation. The area is located in Kias, Atok Trail, Baguio City.

12) Pres. Proc. No. 572 dated April 08, 1959 – Excluding an area of 101.5980 hectares
from the Baguio Townsite Reservation (established under Resolutions of the
Philippine Commission dated January 25, 1907, and August 30, 1916) as a Mineral
Reservation. The area is located in Mines View, Baguio City.
