The truth is,
-Almost 2 years before Rizal’s execution, Rizal
had written a retraction in Dapitan.
In order to marry Josephine Bracken , Rizal
Wrote with the help of a priest a form of
retraction to be approved by the bishop of
cebu.
-This incident was revealed by Fr. Antonio Obach to his friend prof. Austin
Craig.(1912)

The details of of it:


- The retraction of Rizal with the priest letter was ready
to sent to mail when Rizal came hurrying to reclaim it.

Note :
Rizal probably realized that He give the friars what
they’ve been trying by all means to get from him.
