6. Procedures for checking the temperature

1. Connect the P-Can tool to the PC.
2. Open the Bus master application and do the initial set-up.
3. Associate the latest DBF file (file name - customer-evx-M-DBC(C+)) in Bus master and
Connect it.

4. Now you can see the controller msgs in the Bus Master which starts with 19 series numbers.
5. Find the ID – 19000102 with the msg name of “motor_status”. Double tap on the ID, you can
see a pop up window which is as below.

Pop up window
0x1900102 of motor_status

6. Find the msg’s “motor_temperature_fb” and “mosfet_temperature_fb”.

7. Motor_temperature_fb = 40 and mosfet_temperature_fb = 70 should be the appropriate
temperature readings. Keep in mind that these are the initial values; as the motor and
controller run for longer periods of time, these values will adjust appropriately once they
pass the initial values.

7. Steps to flash SW:

Step -1: Turn ON the battery in the vehicle.

Step -2: Give the ignition to the controller i.e., the key switch should be engaged.

Step -3: Double click the application “C+_Throttle_map” File Name is only for reference purpose.
(Presently the map shall be given by the Embedded Hardware team. New tool to be
received for the Flashing purpose.)

Step – 4: The CMD prompt will open and display the flashing percentage. When the Program
percentage is 100% then the throttle map has been flashed successfully.

Step – 5: Turn Off the ignition i.e., Key switch and Turn ON again and check the ECO, Normal and
Reverse Mode speeds and it should match with the given ECO - 45 ± 2 kmph, Normal -
52 ± 2 kmph, and Reverse - 4 ± 1 kmph in no – load condition.

NOTE: The Embedded Hardware team member (Saurabh Kumar/M Nikhilindu Kasyap) sets up the
PC's initial software. Each time the SW is modified as well.
