Understudy Training Program Plan for Importation Manager

1. Program Overview:

● Program Name: Comprehensive Understanding of the Complexities involved in Heavy Equipment Importation

2. Objective:
 Aims to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge to thrive in importation
management, ensuring a smooth transition into the role. Regular evaluations and feedback
will enhance the program's effectiveness and adapt it to meet organizational needs.

3. Participants

 Junior staff or employees interested in moving into an importation management role.

4. Training Objectives
 Conduct a skills gap analysis to identify areas for development, such as:

o Supply chain management

o Regulatory compliance

o Negotiation skills

o Financial acumen

o Logistics and transportation

5. Training Schedule
 Duration: 1-3 months, depending on the complexity of the role.

6. Assessment and Evaluation


 Define measurable goals, such as:

a. Successful management of a specific shipment

b. Improvement in vendor negotiation outcomes


 Conduct evaluations every quarter.

7. Responsibilities

Foreign Employee:
● To deliver the training as per the schedule.
● To provide regular feedback to the understudies.
● To assess and certify the understudies’ progress.

UDP/STP trainee:

● To actively participate in all training sessions.


● To complete assigned tasks and responsibilities
● To seek clarification and guidance as needed.

8. Reporting and Documentation for submission to DOLE

● Progress Reports. Monthly reports to be submitted by the understudies.


● Final Report. A comprehensive report detailing the training outcomes, assessments, and
certification.
● Documentation: All training materials, assessments, and feedback to be archived for future
reference.

9. Completion and Certification
