Diary Entry
27 April 2023, Thursday
10.30 p.m.

Dear Diary
Today was one of the happiest days of my life. You cannot even imagine what
happened today. It was my grandmother’s birthday and like every other year, we
bought her a cake in the evening.

But this year, a big surprise was waiting for all of us. Just when we were done with
the cutting of the cake, the doorbell rang. I opened the door and saw my uncle, who
stays in America, standing at the door. My jaw fell wide open with wonder. I shouted
with joy.

He enthusiastically joined us in our celebration and brought smiles to everyone’s

faces. To tell you the truth, the best part for me was actually the gifts he had brought
for me. He gave me a video game and a play station.
I’m so happy. I wish everyday could be like today.

Good night, dear Diary.

James / Jenny
