Business Background

 History and Current Status

A student from the Northern Cagayan Colleges Foundation
Inc.’s Entrepreneurial program in Ballesteros, Cagayan, developed
a business plan in 2022 that helped to launch an inventive coffee

6
shop enterprise. The group of students came up with the idea of
opening a coffee shop where customers could relax and entertain
friends and business acquaintances, and where their discerning
palates for excellent coffee drinks and flavored glutinous rice cakes
could be satisfied. This plan evolved into a notion, which quickly
materialized.
The proprietor made the decision to open "Kopinoy," a
coffee shop. Since the majority of Filipinos are hard-working
professionals who also enjoy coffee, this idea is appealing. She
made the decision to open the company in a commercial building
in Ballesteros, Cagayan, which is close to a school and other
commercial enterprise while also being in a commercial and
residential neighborhood on the corner of a major road. The
company wants to be involved with and linked to its stakeholders,
including its customers, employees, local producers, community,
and environment.

 Mission
Kopinoy is a coffee shop committed to bringing the best in
high-quality coffee drinks in coffee bags, to empowering local
farmers and their goods, to showcasing the lovely Filipino way of
life and culture, to using products that are safe for the environment,
and to boosting employee satisfaction while giving shareholders a
steady return.

 Vision
In the greater Ballesteros area, Kopinoy is recognized as a
leader in the coffee shop industry, setting the standard for
innovation, service, and quality while also empowering local

7
coffee farmers and producers, creating sustainable jobs, exhibiting
Filipino hospitality, and being an environmentally friendly
company.

Objectives

 To achieve a sustainable market expense while ensuring a rise in

profit fast;
 To consistently offer top-notch client service;
 To create glutinous rice cakes and high-quality, original coffee
drinks that will delight all consumers and clients;
 To open a coffee shop that showcases the enticing way of life and
culture of the Filipinos;
 To encourage the development and empowerment of neighborhood
farmers, producers, and suppliers by placing their goods on the
market;
 To lessen the business’s overall environmental effect and to inspire
others to follow suit; and
 To keep the workplace enjoyable for the workers.

MARKET STRATEGY

Target Market

Students and professionals on their way to work or class who want

a cheap cup of coffee for the caffeine boost are my target market,
depending on the price. However, this type of expensive coffee shop
typically draws middle- and upper-class coffee eaters who have the
means to spend several hundred pesos on a cup of coffee. High school
students, employed people and middle- and upper-class workers who
drink coffee outside their homes, passers-by in the area, and people
looking for a place to mingle and meet friends and business associates are
some of the target customers, according to the activities of the local
population. Teenagers and young adults, or coffee consumers between the
ages of 18 and 39, are another demographic the firm is aiming to service.

Product

The coffee shop will provide Fraffuccino drinks made in coffee

bags as well as brewed coffee. Customers receive creamier and tastier
coffee blends that they will undoubtedly enjoy when the coffee drinks are
combined with vanilla ice cream. The coffee shop also sells unique
glutinous rice cakes in a variety of mouthwatering flavors, including
chocolate, purple yam (ube), jackfruit (langka), strawberry, mango,
banana, pineapple, and seafood, in addition to the delicious coffee drinks.

12
SALES STRATEGY

Customer Service

Members of the staff will greet any customers or potential

customers that come into the store’s property in order to serve them.
When a customer is ready to place an order, the service staff member
manning the counter will inquire about the order as well as whether it will
be consumed on-site or carried out. The customer’s payment will be
collected once all of the goods in his order have been completed and
entered into the POS system. There will be a “pay as you order” policy in
place in the shop. The designated team in the kitchen will start preparing
the order at this time. Following the customer’s request, a service team
will deliver the requested items and ensure that the order is complete. The
staff will thank the consumer for visiting as he departs the establishment.
