MAIN OBJECTIVES OF SUBCENTER:-

 To give antenatal care & check up at sub center level.


 To give intra-natal care & post natal care.
 To give immunization.
 To give counseling & appropriate referral for safe abortion.
 To assist in school health services.
 To do post natal visit.
 To treat minor ailments.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDENTS TOWARDS VISIT:-

o To understand the function of sub center.


o To understand the functions and activities of worker at the sub center level.
o To understand the staffing pattern of activities.
o To acquire knowledge about record maintained at sub center.

INTRODUCTION:
The first year student of community health nursing specially visited at sub center of the Baroli on
20-05-2019.A.N.M workers Mrs. VinodBala (permanent) andMrs.Rajni (RCH) welcome us and
explained us about and give required information. Sub center timings are 9am to 4pm.

Functions of MPHW (Female)

 Provide treatment for minor illness.


 She conducts house to house visit and health survey.
 Motivates people for immunization of their children and conduct immunization camp
every month.
 Motivate people for family planning.
 Provide health education about sanitation and hygiene.
 Provide antenatal and postnatal checkup.
 Conduct school health checkup every year.

Functions of MPHW (Male)

 Makes slides for malaria of fever cases.


 He is activity involved in surveillance used to detect malaria cases.
 He also provides DOTS to diagnose cases of TB and keeps close observation of the
treatment so the patientscontinue the course of treatment till they are fully cures.
 Supervision during polio programmers.

CONCLUSION:- From the report we conclude that SUBCENTER provide various services
to the children , pregnant mothers ,ill persons in the community and prevention or control of
diseases and provide the treatment of minor diseases for promotion their health and nutrition
status of the community.
