Talk
about your experiences, what made you feel good about the trip and
what you should avoid next time."
Me: Hey! It's so good to be back from the trip. I had such a great time with you!
Friend: Yes, I had an amazing time too. It was a great trip overall.
Friend: I think my favorite part was when we went hiking in the mountains. The
view was absolutely breathtaking.
Me: Oh, that was my favorite part too! I loved the fresh air and the peacefulness
of the mountains. I also enjoyed trying out the local cuisine.
Friend: Yes, the food was delicious. I loved trying out new dishes.
Me: Speaking of new experiences, was there anything that you didn't like about
the trip? Anything we should avoid next time?
Friend: Well, I think we should have done more research about the
accommodation options. Some of the places we stayed at were not up to our
expectations.
Me: Yeah, I agree. Next time, we should definitely research the places we stay
at before booking. Also, we should have planned our itinerary better. We
missed out on a few activities that we wanted to do.
Friend: Yes, that's true. But overall, I'm really glad we went on this trip
together. It was a great bonding experience for us.
Me: Same here. It's always great to travel with a good friend. I'm looking
forward to our next trip already!
A: Sure. I always remembered the time when I were in high school, I am very
lazy and didn’t want to study. My mother was very patient in setting direction
my future and inspiring me a lot. She is good example on overcome challenges
in studying for my following. I really appreciate her, without her, I can not
graduated the high school and become the useful person. How about you?
A: I am very understand your story. For me, I would like to say thank you so
much for my eldest and young sisters. They are not only my closest ones but
also my best friends, They helped me a lot in life and study, always listen and
next to me whenever I am sad and disappointed.
A: Yes, you are absolute right. . Beside that, Friends can not miss in my life. I
have a best friend, she always uplifting my energy and helping me in any
challenges.
3. You just watched a movie with your best friend. One of you liked
the movie, and one of you didn’t. Make an argument for why you
liked or didn’t like the movie.
A: How was the film?
B: No, it was so low and boring. Plus, it was so predictable that i could
even guess what they were going to say nextny
A: That’s surprising. It got quite good reviews, and I see it very funfrom
the begin to the end.
B: They must have seen a different film than we did. Also it was dubbed
and they only used two voice actors: one for the males, and one for the
females.
A: Okay, i agree with you about this but if they used subtitle i would be
lazy to read it. And i guess that everyone don’t like reading.
B: ya..The film was quite gory too, but it was all done so badly that it
wasn’t believable at all
A: No, the scary scene is very great. (I see everybody seems like me, they
also scare about that. I think the scariest scene is when the killer breaks
into the house of the heroine and is ready to kill her.)
B: Are you seriously? I see the special effects looked like they were made
on a laptop in twenty minutes. And the lead actor was really bad; he was
complete emotionless
A: I think you're the only one who feels like this, everyone in the theater
looks like they're enjoying this movie.
B: May be you’re right, i’m the only one who feels bored.
A: Hmm next time i will let you chose the type of films that you like. Is
that ok?
B: Okay, next time i will chose the romance film haha, both of us like this
type.
B: Bye, see ya
5. you want to have a gap year to explore and get more experience but
your parents think it's Just like a time for holiday. Make an argument why
you should or shouldh't
have a gap year."
You: Mom/Dad, I've been thinking about taking a gap year before starting
college to explore and gain more experience.
Parent: A gap year? Why do you want to take a year off? Don't you think it's
just like a holiday?
You: No, I don't think it's like a holiday at all. In fact, I think a gap year would be
incredibly valuable for me. I'd be able to explore different cultures and ways of
life, gain real-world experience, and figure out what I want to do with my life. I
think it would be a great opportunity for personal growth and development.
You: Well, yes, but I think a gap year would give me a different perspective.
Plus, I think it would be beneficial to take a break from the academic world and
get some real-world experience before diving into college. I don't want to end
up in a major or career that I don't enjoy just because I didn't take the time to
figure out what I really want to do.
Parent: I understand your point, but I'm worried that if you take a year off, you
might lose your academic momentum and it might be difficult to get back into
the academic mindset once you start college.
You: I understand your concern, but I don't think that would be a problem. In
fact, I think a gap year could actually give me more motivation and focus when
I do start college. Plus, I could use the gap year to take courses or pursue other
academic interests that I might not have time for during college.
Parent: Hmm, you do make some valid points. I'll have to think about it some
more.
You: Thank you, Mom/Dad. I really appreciate your willingness to consider my
perspective. I think a gap year could be a great opportunity for me to grow and
develop, and I hope we can come to an agreement that works for both of us.
6. Both of you are at an environmental protest to reduce the use
of plastic package. What are some arguments you can make for
the reduction of plastic? Discuss this together.
A: Hey! Have you attended today’s workshop on ‘environmental
pollution’?
B: Yes, I was there. I saw you there too.
A: Yeah. What do you think, what’s the biggest reason behind
environmental pollution?
B. For me, it’s a huge threat to the environment.
A: I agree with you. Do you know what impact we are having in the
world, due to too much plastic pollution?
B: Yeah, the temperature is being high day by day. The ice is melting
and the sea level in going up.
A: These are really threatening for the entire world. How can we get
rid of this problem?
B: We need to stop every type of pollution. There are lots of countries
in the world they proved that it’s possible to reduce pollution.
A: Yeah. A huge number of animals are dying due to plastic and other
types of pollution.
B: oh right. Besides that, today many businesses have produced a type
of biodegradable bags. We could use it instead of plastic.
B: Yeah. We need to make people conscious of this.
A: Yeah. Thanks for your good conversation, Tania. See you, by for
now.
B: Bye, take care.
7. You are at an art critique and your friend’s artwork is being
critiqued. Tell them if you like it and why or why not. Discuss
how he/she could improve it next time.
A: Great, besides that, I think you can add the people in you
artwok because they will make the picture more lively.
B: Thank so much for your all feedbacks, I will learn from you, it
helped me to fulfill the painting even more better.
Yes, I've been feeling really uncertain about what I want to do. I've studied a
few different subjects, but I'm not sure which one I want to pursue as a career.
That can definitely be a tough decision to make. Have you considered exploring
different career options through job shadowing or informational interviews with
professionals in fields that interest you?
Actually, I haven't thought about that. How would I go about setting that up?
You could start by reaching out to professionals in your network or even doing
some research online to find individuals in your desired fields. From there, you
could ask if they would be willing to meet with you for a brief informational
interview or shadowing experience.
That sounds like a great idea! What other suggestions do you have for exploring
career options?
A: Im glad you like it. By the way, what dishes do you want to
eat?
Me: Hey, I heard that you're going to meet your online friend in person. Are you
sure that's a good idea?
Friend: Yeah, I think it's going to be great! We've been chatting online for
months, and we really hit it off. I'm excited to finally meet them face to face.
Me: I understand that you're excited, but I'm a little concerned. You don't really
know this person beyond what they've told you online. They could be anyone,
and you're putting yourself in a potentially risky situation by meeting them
alone.
Friend: I get where you're coming from, but I've done my research on this
person. We've talked about our interests, values, and goals. We've even
exchanged photos and video-chatted to make sure we're both who we say we
are.
Me: I see. Well, that's good that you've taken some precautions, but you still
need to be careful. Meeting someone in person is very different from talking to
them online. You never know how someone might behave when they're face to
face with you.
Friend: I understand that, but I think making online friends is a positive trend.
It's a great way to connect with people who share your interests and values. You
can learn a lot from people who are different from you and expand your
horizons.
Me: I agree that making online friends can be a positive thing, but you still need
to be cautious. Not everyone is who they say they are online, and there are
people out there who want to take advantage of others. So just be careful, okay?
Friend: Don't worry, I will. I appreciate your concern, and I'll make sure to meet
this person in a public place and let someone know where I'll be. I'm looking
forward to it, but I'll definitely take your advice to heart.
