Use the vocabulary words and phrases in the boxes of Exercise #1 to complete the definitions below.
The first one is an example.
1. When you pack your bags_______, you put your clothes, shoes and objects you will need for a trip inside
a backpack, a suitcase or a gab.

or city. For example, you can go from your house to a hotel in another city. You usually do it in a car, bus or

Exercise #3
Use the flashcards to check your answers. Then, cover a word from the list above, read the definition
and try to call out the word without reading it. Uncover the word to check. Repeat this procedure until
you can call out all the words without reading them.
Exercise #4
Classify the vocabulary words and phrases in Exercise #1 according to what you do BEFORE, DURING,
and AFTER a trip. Some of them can be used more than once. You can add drawings.
Exercise #5
Use ideas the following choice board to practice the new words and phrases. You need to choose at
least one option but you are free to choose as many as you want. Please use a separate piece of paper
to record your answers and attach it to this page. If you have used this chart before, please make sure
you choose a new option for this activity.

happens to them when telling a story in the past. What do you notice about these actions?

and “get” when they are in the past? Complete the following rules by looking at the examples in the

Verbs or actions in the past can be regular or irregular. They are regular when you add “ed” at the
end. They are irregular when they change their form.

numbers 1-7 to order the events in the story.
