Job Description

Mirantis is adding a talented Junior Software Engineer to join our development team! We build
enterprise software that addresses operational and security challenges of managing cloud-native
platforms such as Kubernetes while providing enterprise customers with integrated tools for
running containerized workloads with Docker. Our product known as Mirantis Kubernetes
Engine (formerly known as Docker Enterprise) is managing mission-critical services at Fortune
500 companies and many other organizations all around the world.

Responsibilities

 Developing features and enhancements in Go for our Mirantis Kubernetes Engine

product.
 Collaborating with internal teams to enhance existing products and create the next
generation of our cloud-native platform.
 Working closely with teammates in design, code, and test-plan reviews to help build
robust software and promote knowledge sharing.
 Becoming an expert in bleeding-edge cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes,
and AWS.
 Implementing and maintaining meaningful unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
 Participating in and contributing to agile methodologies and best practices.
 Passionate about building tools and software that improves the experience of developing,
deploying, and managing software applications.

Qualifications

 A student or recent graduate of Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.

 Experience with Go programming language or any other modern programming language
that builds applications for production.
 Experience with Linux.
 Experience with Git.

Rationale of choosing this type of job

I choose to apply for this role ‘Intern Software Engineer’ because I don’t have any real-time
experience in the field of social engineering. This job at Mirantis will become the foundation for
my career in Software Engineering. They don’t have many requirements in the process of
recruitment. Basic requirement is for me to be a student or graduate in Computer Science or
Engineering and require knowledge with any modern programming languages and Linux. I
satisfy every condition with Python being my programming language. I particularly have
experience with Python 3. It uses Unicode and is the most popular programming language.
Under their Internship, I will be developing features and enhancements in Go for their Mirantis
Kubernetes Engine product’s. They are one the major leaders for Container Management in G2.
So, I Will also be provided with opportunity to collaborate in the enhancing of existing products
for their cloud-native platform. I can become an expert in bleeding-edge cloud technologies like
Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. After their Internship I will have a handful of real-time
experience with a lot of achievements on many different projects. This Internship will provide
me with the opportunity to combine work and education. I will be a part of cutting-edge, open-
source innovations with professional training and development. With this real-time experience, I
can apply in some midsized companies that deal in software engineering or in container
management. After working Full-time for 3-4 years in a midsized Company, while further
honing my skills. I will finally settle down to work with a large Company by providing my
excellent skills honed over these past few years.
