Invitation - 2023 Busan PV

The Korea Association of Athletics Federations (KAAF) has invited member federations of the AAA to participate in the International Pole Vault Meeting to be held in Busan, South Korea from June 9-10, 2023. KAAF will provide financial support including airfare, accommodation, and local transportation for 4 members per team. Teams must submit their entry forms by May 10, 2023 and intent to participate by May 3rd to receive financial support. Prize money and appearance fees will be provided to top athletes.

the captioned international meeting to be held at Busan, Republic of Korea. Please see
below information in regards to the event :

you submit your team’s intent to participate via email by 3rd May, 2023

- Venue : Gwangalli Beach, Suyeong-gu, Busan, Korea
- Dates : 9 - 10 June, 2023
- Technical Meeting : 10:00, 9th June, 2023 (Team Hotel)
- Opening Ceremony : 19:00, 9th June, 2023 (Team Hotel)
- Competition Dates and Times
* 9 June 2023 (Day 1) 14:00 ­ 16:30 U20 Men
* 10 June 2023 (Day 2) 16:00 ­ 19:00 Senior Women
* 10 June 2023 (Day 2) 20:10 ­ 23:00 Senior Men

□ Financial Support
- We invite a maximum of 4 members (1 Coach/Official, 1 Senior male, 1 Senior
female, and 1 U20 male athlete) from each Federation with following conditions :

- Provided that the team is traveling to Korea to compete only in the Busan Pole
Vault meeting, we will provide the participants with round-trip airfare, board and
lodging in Korea for 4 nights and 5 days (Invitation period : 7 to 11 June, 2023).

- For those participating in Asian U20 Athletics Championships 2023 at Yecheon,


Korea, we will provide the team with in-land transport to Busan on 8th June after
the U20 Championships, board and lodging during the stay in Busan, and transport
to the team’s port of departure after the event.

□ Doping Control will be conducted in accordance with the World Athletics Anti-Doping
Rules and Regulations.

□ Transportation
LOC will arrange transportation from airport to hotel and vice versa for team’s arrival
and departure.

□ Visas
Please inform the entry office if you require a name invitation letter to facilitate your
team’s visa issuing process, the cost of which shall be borne at your end.

□ Travel
Please make sure to inform the entry office of the cost of round-trip airfare and
travel itinerary for LOC approval. We strongly recommend that you reserve your
team’s final destination to Gimhae(Busan) International Airport.

□ Pole Carrying Charge


LOC will not reimburse the pole carrying charge via air though they will take care of
in-land transportation (from airport to hotel and vice versa).

□ Prize money, appearance fee, and travel reimbursement will be wired to a


designated bank account after the event. Please fill in the attached bank
information form and submit to the entry office along with the entry form.
There will be no cash payments on site.

□ Any covid tests incurred in Korea will be covered by the organizer.
