4as LESSON PLAN

This document outlines a mathematics lesson plan on integers for 7th grade students. The objectives are for students to define integers, identify properties of integer operations, and solve integer problems. Activities include a number line game for review, group work to identify integers and operations, and an assessment where students solve problems competitively in groups. The lesson aims to help students understand key concepts of integers and real number systems through engaging activities and higher-order thinking questions.

I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard The learners demonstrate understanding of key concepts of sets and the real number system.
B. Performance Standard
The learner demonstrates is able to formulate challenging situations involving sets and real numbers and solve these in a variety of strategies.
M7NS-Ic-d-1: Performs fundamental operations on integers.
C. Learning Competencies M7NS-Id-2 : Illustrates the different properties of operations on the set of integers

At the end of the session, the learners are expected to:

1. Define what is Integer.

D. Specific Objectives
2. Identify the different properties of operations of integers.
3. Solve integers.

A. Review/ Motivation
Preliminary Activities

1. One Minute Silence

2. Prayer
3.Math Drill

The teacher gives a short introduction, gives the objectives and orients the students about a game which will serve as a review of the past
lesson.
Number Line
Mechanics:

1.The teacher will provide a number line with positive and negative integers on a large piece of poster board.
2.The students will move forward on the number line when they add and backward when they subtract.

The students will participate to the game.

POST IT!

B. Activate Prior Knowledge 1. The class will be divided into two group. ( Everyone should participate).
2. Each group has a colored marker to mark their answers on the correct location of the poster board.
3. The group that will win will be awarded.

The teacher will ask the following questions to the class: (Think/Pair/Share)

Processing Questions:

C. Acquire New Knowledge 1. How do you find the activity?

2. Did you know the different operations in integers.
3.Based on the discussion what is integers?
4. Give me examples of the integers.

To verify the students’ answer, the teacher will discuss using the pictures and flashcards to identify the Integers and the operations.

Guide Questions:

1. Based on the discussion, what is Integer?

2. Give me an example of integer.
3. What are the different properties of operations of integers?
4. Give me an example of properties of operations of integers.

D. Applicaton
Directions. Solve the following problem.

VARIED ACTIVITIES

1. The class will be divided into four groups which will depend on their learning style/multiple intelligence. Each group will have a play
F. Assessment money peso bill use as their guide to answer the activity as fast as they could. The group who will have the highest score will be graded
as the highest.

The outputs will be graded based on the criteria which will be given by the teacher. The presentation of the outputs will be scheduled
next meeting.
G. Additional Activities for
application or remediation 1 minute paper: The students will be asked to write their significant learning of the day in their exit cards.

1. DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION/ CREATIVE THINKING/HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILLS/NUMERACY SKILL/LITERACY SKILL:

*Delivering the tongue twister with correct pronunciation.

*Students were asked to count the individuals in the picture to easily know the INTEGERS AND DIFFERENT OPERATIONS OF INTEGERS.
*The students were given different tasks or activities in the evaluation part (Role Play, Poem Writing, Jingle Composition and Poster Making) based on their Multiple
Intelligence.
*Process questions were also asked to ensure students’ understanding of the concepts discussed following HOTS.

2. GENDER SENSITIVITY: The video and pictures utilized in the various activities depict gender equality and sensitivity towards the LGBT group.

3. LOCALIZATION: Students were asked to answer the activity by supplying localized example situations. Moreover, in the evaluation part, they were asked to perform a
localized short skit and compose a localized jingle.

4. INTEGRATION OF OTHER SUBJECTS: The students were asked to identify subjects in which they can practically use the Speech Styles and how they are going to use
these styles.

5. USE OF ICT: Use of power point presentation, pictures, and as instructional materials during the delivery of the lesson.
