Data updating timeout

In SmartVista web interface data update in tables Dispenser Idle Time, CASHIN Idle Time, Response Codes and CASSETES — CASHIN is performed periodically. Period is set by the system administrator.
To do this open file ejb-jar.xmlthat is in the directory …\runtimes\base_v6\profiles\default\config\cells\...\applications\SVEJB.ear\deployments\SVEJB\SVFEEJB.jar\META-INFfor WebSphere.

In this file find block <session id="Operator"> and set new values (in milliseconds) for the time out. In the table below the values that are to be modified are marked by the bold font.

Main goal for periodical data update is to lighten the load for the database. It is therefore important to remember that too little a timeout will cause frequent updates that can overload the system.

Monitoring of an ATM

For monitoring of a single ATM choose the menu item SVFE > Monitoring and Notification > ATM Monitoring > ATM Monitoring Operator. To display parameters of an ATM group a request to database is
necessary. To perform it choose the group (field Group) and click the button Search.
Find the needed terminal record in the table and click link with terminal ID. A form will be opened with detailed information about the ATM.

Detailed information about the ATM is given in several forms. To navigate between them use buttons that are placed at the top of the form:

· Main button activates the form that shows current state of the ATM: information about ATM devices, unresolved problems list, cassettes load and information about cash-in.

· Info button activates the form with general information about the terminal and its communication parameters.

· authorization button activates the form that displays the last 100 authorizations performed on the ATM.

· Device History button activates the form that displays data about device status changes for the ATM.

· ATM Control button activates the form that is used for ATM management.
To return to the form of ATM groups monitoring press the button Back.

ATM control

This form is used for direct ATM control: open/close the ATM, load data to or from it, reload the ATM.
Loading configuration and other data to an ATM is possible only when it is closed (is in CLOSED state).

This form has three blocks for different commands:

Command panel
· Open button is used to open the ATM.

· Close button (available only for open ATMs) is used for closing the ATM.

· Close and Lock button (available only for open ATMs) is used for closing the ATM while blocking all possibilities of automatic opening. After the ATM is locked it can only be opened by direct command
from the interface.

To read about open/close operations in detail see ATM open/close operations.

· Reset status reset statuses that are stored by the host for the selected ATM.

· Reset cash-in counters . Cash-in counters should be reset during the cash collection, but if that didn't happen this button may be used to reset them remotely.

· Connection reset button disconnects ATM from the system, puts it in OFFLINE state.

Load panel
· Load scenarios button allows to load scenarios to the ATM.
Fields Starting value and Ending value determine numbers of the scenario states that should be loaded. If both fields are filled than states with numbers from the starting to the ending inclusive are
loaded. If only the starting value is specified than loaded states are all from the starting to the last. And if both fields are left empty when the button is pressed, than all available data will be uploaded.

· Load screens button allows to upload screens to the ATM. Purpose of the fields Starting value and Ending value see above in the Load scenarios description; the difference is that for screens uploading
screen (not state) numbers should be specified.

· Load configuration data button allows to upload configurational data to the ATM.

· Load FIT tables button allows to upload tables of financial institutions configuration to the ATM.

· Load Configuration ID button allows to upload configurational identifier to the ATM.
