Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar (M.P.) invites applications from eligible candidates for the
post of Professor (Pay Band Rs.37400-67000 with AGP of Rs.10,000/-), Associate Professor (Pay Band
Rs.37400-67000 with AGP of Rs.9,000/-) and Assistant Professor (Pay Band Rs.15600-39100 with AGP
of Rs.6,000/-) in the Nine Schools and following broad areas:

School of Arts, Education & Information Sciences (Communication & Journalism, Yogic Sciences,
Adult Education, Library & Information Science, Fine Arts and Performing Arts, Education, Music),
School of Humanities & Social Sciences (Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology, Economics,
History, Philosophy, Psychology, Political Science & Public Administration, Sociology), School of
Languages (English & European Languages, Hindi, Linguistics, Marathi, Sanskrit, Urdu & Persian),
School of Applied Sciences (Anthropology, Criminology & Forensic Science, General & Applied

Application form complete in all respect along with necessary documents and application fee of ` 500/-. (
` 250/- for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates) payable to Registrar, Dr. Harisingh Gour
Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar (M.P.) India payable at SBI, University Branch (1143) should be sent to
Registrar, Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar (M.P.) 470-003 on or before Wednesday, the 15th
December, 2010 for the present cycle of recruitment.

Applications will also be received by the University under rolling mechanism throughout the year
notwithstanding the last date mentioned in this Advertisement.

The reservation roster will be followed as per the U.G.C. reservation policy (OBC-27%, SC-15%, ST-
7.5%, PH- as per UGC rules). As per UGC Norms there is no upper age limit for these posts upto the
superannuation age defined by the UGC.

Based on the qualification of the candidates and the need of the School concerned applications received
will be processed through duly constituted selection committee at regular interval of time. Minimum
qualification may be relaxed in case of exceptionally outstanding candidates.
