PCU20 Network 1

1. Install the HMI Embedded Network Manager on a PC to configure network sharing settings for connecting a PCU20 HMI. Set a shared folder and add a user account matching the PCU20's credentials. 2. Modify the PC's TCP/IP settings to match the PCU20 network. 3. On the PCU20, configure the network settings, server name, and softkey path to access files on the shared PC folder. This allows the PCU20 to connect to the PC over the network.

1. Install HMI Embedded network manager in your PC. The source is from tools
directory of PCU20 toolbox.
2. After you install it, please look the right of windows bar, see a like PCU map is on it.

3. Press use mouse to point the symbol then press right hand key of mouse, select
Config HMI specific shared folders

Use the key Browser to select which directory will be share. (We select d:\spf.dir)
Then we should make a name as this directory. ( We make SPF)
Press key Add
Press OK

Press right hand key of mouse, select User management

Press Edit or New

Key-in User name have to be same as User name setting in PCU20


Key-in Password have to be same as Password setting in PCU20
Confirm the password again
Then you can see the name of this directory (SPF) we just set in right window.
Please make it then press Add
Press OK
Then press Close

Set TCP/IP address. (We set 192.168.0.2)


Take off DHCP or CONNECT to NT SERVER
Change workgroup name to WORKGROUP (For referencing, not necessary)
Restart your PC.

6. In PCU20, we check connection setting in Logic drivers


For network setting : \\MCMT208A\SPF
\\(User name of PC)\(The name of directory be setting in HMI network management)

then set softkey labeling as PC

a. HMI boot:
with network w/o confirmation
b. DHCP:
No
c. IP address:
192.168.0.1
(We set TCP/IP for PC as 192.168.0.2)
d. Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0
(We set TCP/IP for PC as 255.255.0.0)
e. Cmpt. Name:
PCU20
(Not necessary to take case, unless several PCU20s)
f. User:
PCU20_USER
(It must be same as the setting in HM network
management in PC)
g.

Password:

(It must be same as the setting in HM network

management in PC)

h. Confirm:

To check Sever name in PCU20


press New
Keyin 192.168.0.2 (The TCP/IP setting of PC)
Keyin the name of PC (Ex. MCMT208A)

9. Try Program area to find the files in your PC.
