Pipeline Expansion Loop Calculations

This document provides instructions for calculating the length of an expension loop and the diameter of a gas pipe. It shows an example calculation of a 738 meter expension loop for a 24 mm diameter pipe with 0.1 mm of expansion. It also gives the formula for calculating pipe diameter which is a function of gas quantity, velocity, and pressure factor. Pressure factors of 120 and 200 are used to calculate example pipe diameters of 29.91 mm and 26.01 mm respectively.
