SUBJECT TITLE: SPECIAL CRIME INVESTIGATION

SUBJECT DESCRIPTION

This subject is intended and part of the curriculum of Bachelor of Science in


Criminology students, covering theories and techniques of Criminal Investigation on
special cases such as robbery, homicide, carnapping cases etc.

SUBJECT OBJECTIVES

1. To assess the duties and responsibilities of the investigator at the crime scene
2. To evaluate the organizational chain of command relative to the handling of
investigators responsibilities including the coordination of overlapping
jurisdictions.
3. To identify physical evidence at the crime scene
4. To examine the chain of evidence process to ensure proper in-court identification.

CLASS RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. If you cannot attend the class, inform the instructor.


2. Take time to discuss personal issues during break. When
someone is talking, you are expected to listen
3. Mode of teaching is using Powerpoint presentations
4. All mobile phones must be shut off or in silent mode
5. Break is important especially to those who are hungry and sleepy.
Break is 15minutes only.
6. Type of exam is based on what has been discussed
7. Be ready for recitation and/ or activities every meeting
8. Always bring complete instructional materials.
9. This class will practice academic freedom. Everyone is entitled to their own
opinion
10.Strictly no make-up exams.
11.This is a five (3) unit subject, a nine (9) hour absent is considered dropped.
12.No assignment, no attendance policy
13.You are in my class – smile and be happy
