Clean the Weld areas and adjacent areas of oil , grease, rust etc. Assemble components as per contract drawing. Tack weld by SMAW Process ensuring that the tacks become an acceptable part of the root run. Complete root run by SMAW Process. Complete welding to the required dimension by SMAW process using specified electrodes. Dress slightly high spot obtain a good profile. Carry out DP to test the weld soundness.
