Description
The Mitsubishi ML-8000 was not only the first MSX computer released by Mitsubishi, it was the first MSX on the market of any vendor.
It has a keyboard with colored keys and an optional ML-10KB keypad with 20 keys was also available, meant for hexadecimal data entry. This machine was aimed at the Japanese market.
At the time of its release, it was announced that it would support the control of
- the Mitsubishi Diatone Z10 and Z-30 audio intelligent systems by using a dedicated Roboty interface with built-in software
- the industrial micro robot Mitsubishi Move Master II RM-501 by using the printer port with a software in MSX-BASIC

Specifications
The ML-8000 is a simple MSX1 with only one cartridge slot. The Z80A comes from NEC (D780C-1).
There is no expansion bus. A hexadecimal keypad was sold in option.
