DuckDuckGo Privacy Pro Now Available With 3 Subscriptions in 1

"Data minimization" is DuckDuckGo's goal for people who use the internet (unlike some companies), and this new service is designed to further reduce the amount of your personal information that's available to be sold online.

DuckDuckGo announced the new service, called Privacy Pro, in a blog post on Thursday. It's a subscription service that combines the DuckDuckGo privacy VPN with its Personal Information Removal and Identity Theft Restoration features for a single monthly or yearly subscription fee.

The DuckDuckGo VPN is what you would expect from the privacy browser company. It's anonymous and doesn't log your activity online. And through the Privacy Pro plan, you can secure up to five devices "anytime, anywhere."

The next service, Personal Information Removal, searches for your personal information on data broker sites and then works to remove that information. The details in question can be your name, address, and other personal information that's used to create a complete picture of you. DuckDuckGo will monitor data broker sites for the details and request their removal for the duration of your subscription.

Finally, there's Identity Theft Restoration. No one likes to think that identity theft can happen to them, but it does happen, and when it does, it can be expensive and time-consuming to clear up any associated problems. The Identity Theft Restoration feature of DuckDuckGo's Privacy Pro subscription offers a dedicated advisor who specializes in getting stolen accounts restored, helping you recover any expenses or monetary losses, and help to correct your credit report.
