CloudExpo | DXWorldEXPO have announced the conference tracks for Cloud Expo
2018, introducing DXWorldEXPO.
DXWordEXPO, colocated with Cloud Expo will be held June 5-7, 2018, at the
Javits Center in New York City, and November 6-8, 2018, at the Santa Clara
Convention Center, Santa Clara, CA.
Digital Transformation (DX) is a major focus with the introduction of DXWorld
Expo within the program. Successful transformation requires a laser focus on
being data-driven and on using all the tools available that enable
transformation if they plan to survive over the long term.
A total of 88% of Fortune 500 companies from a generation ago are now out of
business. Only 12% still survive. Similar percentages are found throughout
enterprises of all sizes.

Implement Advanced Scheduling Techniques in Kubernetes
Is advanced scheduling in Kubernetes achievable?
Yes, however, how do you properly accommodate every real-life scenario that a
Kubernetes user might encounter?
How do you leverage advanced scheduling techniques to shape and describe each
scenario in easy-to-use rules and configurations?

In his session at @DevOpsSummit at 21st Cloud Expo, Oleg Chunikhin, CTO at
Kublr, answered these questions and demonstrated techniques for implementing
advanced scheduling. For example, using spot instances and cost-effective
resources on AWS, coupled with the ability to deliver a minimum set of
functionalities that cover the majority of needs - without configuration
complexity.

The cloud provides two major advantages to load and performance procedures
that help testing teams better model realistic behavior: instant
infrastructure and geographic location. Cloud-based load testing also lowers
the total cost of ownership, increases flexibility and allows testers to
understand the impact of third-party components. So you're sold on using the
cloud; here's what you should look for in a cloud-based load testing
solution.
One of the most dangerous moves software developers and testers can make is
being lulled into a false sense of security. For example, when application
features and performance levels meet expectations during pre-production, only
to crash and burn when presented to real users in production.
In that same vein, if your organization has any kind of performance testing
strategy, chances are you're conducting load testing. However, yo... (more)

The widespread success of cloud computing is driving the DevOps revolution in
enterprise IT. Now as never before, development teams must communicate and
collaborate in a dynamic, 24/7/365 environment. There is no time to wait for
long development cycles that produce software that is obsolete at launch.
DevOps may be disruptive, but it is essential.

SAP HANA was released as a work in progress. Tenants could leverage the
increased speed of the HANA database immediately, but had to wait for the
updated SAP S/4HANA applications to be released. Each release has allowed
applications to more fully harness HANA, creating new, compelling reasons to
migrate for a range of use cases.
With the S/4HANA 1709 release, SAP has taken yet another step toward creating
a complete product, with substantial benefits over Suite on HANA for most use

Big Data has become a fairly common term used across industries. It refers to
large, complex volumes of data that are generated from multiple sources.
According to a new report by SNS Research, Big Data is now a $57 billion
market, and it is predicted that investments in the sector are expected to
grow by 10 percent over the next four years, reaching $76 billion by the end
of 2020.
As exabytes of data are created every day, businesses are sitting on large
quantities of information generated by channels such as social media
platforms and mobile payment apps.
The concept of Big Data has been around for years and growing numbers of
organizations are recognizing the value that can be found in Big Data and

Feb. 8, 2018 05:15 AM EST Reads: 2,112 | By Pat Romanski In this strange new world where more and more power is drawn from business technology, companies are effectively straddling two paths on the road to innovation and transformation into digital enterprises. The first path is the heritage trail – with “legacy” technology forming the background. Here, extant technologies are transformed by core IT teams to provide more API-driven approaches. Legacy systems can restrict companies that are transitioning into digital enterprises. To truly become a lead... Feb. 8, 2018 12:00 AM EST Reads: 9,342 | By Otto Berkes Every year about this time, we gaze into crystal balls to divine the future of our industry – or at least where it’s headed over the next 365 days. The result is often a triumph of incrementalism: we predict that we will get more of what we already have. The truth is, technology isn’t as revolutionary as we often think – and commenting on incremental changes alone may not help us understand what lies ahead.
Along with a few near-term predictions – so hard to resist – I’d also like to make some ... To achieve cloud-based HPC visualization, researchers must transfer datasets and visualization results efficiently.
HPC clusters now compute GPU-accelerated visualization in the cloud cluster. Further, tools to easily mount remote datasets and efficiently transfer... Feb. 7, 2018 05:00 AM EST Reads: 2,585 | By Liz McMillan Digital Transformation (DX) is not a "one-size-fits all" strategy. Each organization needs to develop its own unique, long-term DX plan. It must do so by realizing that we now live in a data-driven age, and that technologies such as Cloud Computing, Big Data, the IoT, Cognitive Computing, and Blockchain are only tools. However, sharing a Kubernetes cluster between members of the same team can be challenging. And, sharing clusters across multiple teams is even harder.

As a result, it’s becoming common for enterprises to end up with several clusters. Thi... Feb. 6, 2018 06:30 AM EST Reads: 2,490 | By Stackify Blog Let's do a visualization exercise.
