There are many questions one would love answered by one of America's greatest living directors, Martin Scorsese, but his preference for vampires or zombies probably isn't the one you'd expect.
And yet in a new interview with GQ, the Oscar-winning auteur answers that very question. "The vampire thing always works for some reason. Always works," said Scorsese. "I happen to like vampires more than zombies."
"Well, a vampire, quite honestly, you could have a conversation with," he continued. "He has a sexuality."
Scorsese added, "Zombies, what are you going to do with them? Just keep chopping them up, shooting at them, shooting at them. It's a whole other thing that apparently means a great deal to our culture and our society."
He went on to praise Colin, a micro-budget zombie movie he caught while filming Hugo in London.
