Hear ye, hear ye! Rumor court is now in session. Let the speculation commence! According to a report publish by The Verge who cites "uncovered information" from unnamed sources, Valve is all set to unveil a Steam-centric gaming console at GDC next week, if not E3, and it will affectionately be known as (wait for it): the Steam Box. It's official: Assassin's Creed 3 is coming, and it's set during the American Revolution. Sounds promising, eh? Well, prepare to get even more excited, because if these beautiful new screenshots are anything to go by, this game looks seriously stunning too. The five images after the jump show our hooded hero exploring colonial-era townships, snowy forests... and, wait, is he about to shoot a moose with a bow? Yes. Yes, he is. Read More »
Electronic Arts has been suspiciously tight-lipped about this week's rumor that a new Sim City is in development. Sure, it's possible that the publisher is patiently waiting until the Game Developers Conference next week to make its official announcement... but we want details now, damn it! Thankfully, IGN feels the same way, and has gone so far as to translate the German magazine which broke the story in the first place. Read More »
Sleeping Dogs has had a tough life. Initially developed as True Crime: Hong Kong, the game was dumped by publisher Activision last year for going over budget and failing to meeting deadlines. Since then, the kung-fu inspired sandbox romp has found a new publisher in Square Enix, and it has been re-branded, re-jigged, and (hopefully) improved. The end result is on show in this brand-new trailer... and it looks like a mix between Grand Theft Auto, Yakuza and almost every Hong Kong film released in the last 20 years. Read More »
So many mech games are getting released in 2012. Almost too many. From last count, mech fans can look forward to MechWarrior Online, Reign of Thunder, Hawken, Armored Core 5, MechWarrior Tactics... and I'm pretty sure Blacklight Retribution features mechs too. Phewph. What is a mech fiend to do? Well, we can either play them all, or we can be more realistic, and pick our mech products very carefully. To that end, we have some brand-new screenshots of MechWarrior Tactics after the jump. What do you think? Read More »

Update: Okay, this is totally not a rumor anymore. A press release just went out revealing the official box art of Assassin's Creed 3 and Ubisoft has confirmed they "will announce all the details of Assassin's Creed III on Monday March 5th at 5pm." And again, going off of the boxart showing a British Redcoat and again, the old American flag, it's safe to say the American Revolutionary War will be the backdrop of AC3. America, f@$k yeah.
