Project Syndicate is seeking a detail-oriented person to assist with the copyediting and distribution of our editorial content. The Assistant Copyediting and Distribution Manager will proofread and fact-check commentaries, help ensure the timely delivery of content to our global network of publishing partners, curate images for our website, and provide day-to-day support to the Copyediting and Distribution Manager.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in editing, proofreading, or fact-checking. Flexibility, the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, and the drive and willingness to adapt to shifting responsibilities and priorities is paramount.
Core Responsibilities
- Proofread and fact-check edited commentaries
- Distribute Project Syndicate content to its network of member publications
- Facilitate the translation of commentaries and help manage a remote team of freelance translators
- Assist with website administration and image curation
- Manage tasks using our internal CMS
- Perform other ad hoc tasks related to content distribution and management

WEBSITE ADMINISTRATOR
The Website Administrator is responsible for the maintenance of the PS website and relevant subdomains. This includes managing the implementation of new features to maintain performance, drive monetization efforts, and ensure functionality and user experience are in line with organizational expectations.
In this capacity, the Website Administrator will advise on the overall architecture and functionality of the PS website, the organizational approach to readers and subscribers, and help inform tactics and strategies gleaned from day-to-day operations to help improve user experience and expand our reach and bottom line.
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for management and maintenance of the PS website
- Responsible for management and maintenance of third-party platforms, including the integration process
- Oversight of new builds and features
- Troubleshooting and ticketing of website problems
- Responsible for creation and management of website push notifications, automated emails, and notifications
- Execution of onsite marketing campaigns
- Advise on potential changes to products and processes based on user experience and data
- Recommend and implement improvements to web-based admin systems
- Primary point of contact for user accounts, assisting with orders, refunds, and payment disputes, and resolving requests with timely and effective solutions.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of experience in a similar capacity
- Experienced user of HTML/CSS/CMS systems
- Familiar with current web standards
- Ability to work autonomously
- Professional proficiency in English
- Demonstrable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills (promptly diagnose and resolve website issues)
Preferred:
- Fluent in website analytics tools and reporting/ticketing dashboards (Marfeel, GA4, Tableau, Jira, etc.)

Events Assistant
Project Syndicate is seeking a highly organized and creative Events Assistant to support the coordination, promotion, and execution of our digital and hybrid events. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong project management skills, and, preferably, experience in marketing or communications. The ideal candidate will assist with event logistics (audience invitations, speaker management, and catering arrangements, etc.), marketing campaigns to support PS Events, and on-site coordination to ensure successful event execution. Between events, this role will assist with other Project Syndicate marketing and communications activities.
Core Responsibilities
Marketing & Promotion:
- Assist in developing and executing event marketing campaigns across digital channels.
- Create and manage social media, email, and other promotional copy and assets.
- Track marketing performance metrics and suggest improvements for future campaigns.
- Create post-event reports for internal and external use with metrics on impact and reach (both digital metrics and in-person metrics, such as attendance).
- Assist with other Project Syndicate marketing or communications activities between events.
Event Organization:
- Communicate with stakeholders (sponsors, speakers, vendors, etc.) to manage logistics prior to the event and ensure awareness of event developments.
- Assist with event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and equipment rentals.
- Maintain event schedules and task lists to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations.
- Manage event registrations, guest lists, and attendee communications.
Event Management:
- Support on-site event setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Act as a day-of point of contact for vendors, speakers, and attendees during events, promptly addressing any inquiries or issues.
- Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving on event days.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in event planning, marketing, or a related field.

Core Responsibilities:
Philanthropy & Fundraising (PS Friends Fund):
- Maintain and update lead lists for fundraising initiatives.
- Manage and track campaign reports to ensure timely follow-ups.
- Schedule and coordinate calls with fundraising campaign committee members, prospects, and donors across US and French markets.
- Manage and track fundraising tasks and goals.
- Liaise with fundraising consultant team, manage calls and tasks, and update shared documents.
- Conduct prospect research and donor outreach to identify funding opportunities.
- Provide administrative and strategic support to keep the CEO organized and on-task.
Event & Partnership Sponsorship & Support:
- Support and manage sponsorship and partnership prospecting, lead generation, and outreach through contracting and project execution.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings with stakeholders, sponsors, and event partners.
- Track and follow up on event- and partnership-related leads and meetings.
- Develop concept notes, pitches, SOW, MOU, and agreements for event sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of sponsorship decks and presentations.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in event coordination, fundraising, philanthropy, or executive support.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
