Hello everyone,
If you’re wondering what on earth is “Questing Snapshot 1” is, then
don’t worry, Jon published a blog post about it earlier today:
Now that you’ve got some context, I’d like to announce its first
successful publication - Questing Snapshot 1. You can find the images
on cdimages.ubuntu.com, for instance:
…and so on.
We’d like to remind you that these aren’t production ready and should
be seen as “throwaway artifacts” for now.
Stay tuned for more.
On behalf of the Release team,
Utkarsh

Wow… Reading @jnsgruk’s outline of the new release approach, I got the idea that it affected only the “main” Ubuntu Desktop and Server editions. I see here that most of the flavours (Ubuntu Studio, Kubuntu) have also released their Questing Snapshot 1.
There’s going to be some very intensive iso testing in the following months, methinks.

Hah, indeed! We want to at least publish and test all the Canonical images regularly. For flavors, it’s opt-in. We’re very happy to publish flavors but won’t be able to test them automatically quite yet – in a few months, we’d be able to provide an infrastructure where flavors can run their automated tests (once they have them).
