Introduction

 Trafficking The Commercial Exchange of Goods, Especially of an Illicit


or Improper Kind.

 Example: Drug Dealing, Trade for Commercial Sexual Exploitation,


Trade for Forced Labor, Trade in Arms (selling and Buying various types
of Guns).

 Trafficking' offenses may include production or cultivation, import and


export, transporting, offering, selling and/or possession, with intent to
distribute or supply, or the concept of acting 'for gain' or 'on a commercial
basis.
What is drug Traffickin?
 Drug trafficking is a global illicit trade involving the cultivation,
manufacture, distribution and sale of substances which are subject
to drug prohibition laws. UNODC is continuously monitoring and
researching global illicit drug markets in order to gain a more
comprehensive understanding of their dynamics.

 According to the National Drug Dependence Centre


(NDDTC) at All India Institute of Medical Sciences
(AIIMS), (2000 and 2009) more than 32,000 drug abusers
turn up every year and 21,000 more get community care
Opiate users upped from 22% to 42%, but Synthetic drug
users zoomed quietly.

 New Drugs: Synthetic drugs (Psychoactive substances produced in a lab)

 Pharma Drugs: Pain Killers, Sedatives, Anxiolytics, Hypnotics, and synthetic


opiods like buprenorphine, polydrugs... is on a steady high.

 A 2008 UNODC, Rapid Situation and Response Assesment (RSRA): Of the


5,800 respondents from India, 43% found to use "drug cocktails", 64% inject
painkiller propoxyphene and 76% buprenorphine.
Drugs Victims

 Drug Victims can be the person who are addicted to use drugs for the pleasure for the first time
which leads to addiction for the future.
 The person who want to get rid of mental tension by taking drugs.....
Ex. Rich Person becomes Bankrupt, Failure/Cheating in Love and so on.
 Persons who thinks that Drugs helps in extending stamina.....
Ex. Students, Truck Drivers, Night Watchman use it to increase alertness and to awake for long
