Three Method of Transfer Loading From Slab To Beam

Three methods can be used to transfer design loads from two-way spanning slabs to beams: 1) using Table 3.15 of BS 8110, 2) based on yield line formulas, or 3) using the ratio of slab area to beam area. The document provides an alternative method for calculating beam loading distribution that models the load as a uniformly distributed load based on the short and long slab spans and design load values.
