THE PHILIPPINES?

Filipino artists are among the most creative and prolific in the world. They have proved
themselves capable, not only of keeping up with the international artistic trends and meeting
the highest artistic standards, but also with spearheading new artistic movements and styles
that make for an extremely dynamic Philippine art scene that generates local and
international interest. Many Filipino contemporary artists in specific disciplines have gained
prominence through their works which reflect social consciousness, innovative technique,
and exquisite artistry, thereby setting the bar high for the next generation of artists.
