• First of all, let me explain to you what DevOps is

It is a mixture of several tools, practices and philosophies that strengthen


the organizational capacity to deliver services at high velocity. It also
promotes at a faster pace than organizations using traditional software
development and infrastructure management processes. A better
improvement in DevOps allows organizations to serve their customers
and can be able to compete effectively in the market.
It is a culture that can be enabled for continuous improvement. It
ultimately helps organizations to combine Developer and
Team on the same page, enabling both to work together easily.
There are different types of tools in DevOps. Some of them are explained
in detail below.
Jenkins is a continuous Deployment Tool

Deployment Tool is one of the software


development practices which benefit to change in
code automatically built, tested and prepared for
a release to production.

Jenkins is an open-source DevOps continuous


integration software tool written in the Java
programming language for testing and reporting
on isolated changes in a larger code base in real
time
Docker is a Containerization Tool

Containerization is a system of intermodal freight


transport using intermodal containers which
have standardized dimensions.

Docker is an Open source platform for


containers and for reduction of system overhead

Puppet is Configuration Management Tools

• Configuration management is a systems


engineering process for establishing and
maintaining consistency of a product's
performance, functional, and physical attributes
with its requirements, design, and operational
information throughout its life.

Puppet runs on many Unix-like systems as well


as on Microsoft Windows.
The chef is Configuration Management Tools

Configuration management is a systems

Chef deals with the machine set up on physical


servers, virtual machines and in the cloud
