PP Meeting

Standard operating procedure


Why PP meeting is most important :
PP meeting refers to Pre-Production meeting before starting of bulk production. There are various types
of garments order, types of styling and buyer requirement. So, PP meeting is very important for
garments manufacturing to discuss and do all experiment for production. All department head & concern
responsible of apparel industry present in PP meeting so that everyone can be concerned about the
requirement of production.
Who participate in PP meeting:

- Related merchandiser - Sewing quality & production related concern


- Store manager with manager
- Textile responsible - Finishing quality & production related
- Sample manager concern responsible
- Cutting quality & production manager - Related GPQ
- All concern of PP meeting related person
PP Meeting Checklist of Apparel Industry:

- Approve sample - All types of accessories & placement check


- Approved trims card with PDM & approve trim card
- Shade approval with bulk fabric shade continuity - Evaluate size set find out possible issue of
card with GSM production process
- Styling check & update PDM - Check all kinds of bulk fabric testing with
- Trims check with approved trims card report
- Trims Placement check with updated PDM - Measurement with tolerance limitation
- Production planning - Pull test report/date sheet for Button/Snap/ATF

Every style has a PP meeting before bulk production. A style has below important information during PP
meeting.
- How many order qty for particular style
- Color wise qty
- PO Sheet
- Delivery date

Size set sample :


Before bulk production PP sample & size set is very important to show during PP meeting. Everybody have
to know about sample & below information.
- What type of garments
- Check part of garments body
- Critical part operation analysis
- Measurement
- Stitching
- Washing
Fabric :
During PP meeting below information should be represent.
- Fabric Inspection report
- Fabric shrinkage report & any others required test report
- Fabric shade report & continuity card
- Maker & pattern information

Trims :
During PP meeting trims should be in-house & represent in the following.
- In-house trims against approval
- What are trims use in garments body
Production :
During PP meeting a particular style discussion about below Points.
- How many line allocations
- Pilot Run represent
- Sewing & cutting production planning
- Embellishment
- Washing

Finishing :
A particular style discussion about below matters at finishing stage during PP meeting.
- When will start finishing
- How many days to complete the finishing
- Poly bag
- Folding method
- Carton measurement & packing method
- Mixed /Non mixed shade
