Class 6th Maths – Summer Holiday Homework

1. Patterns in Maths
A. Number Patterns:

Complete the following sequences and identify the rule:

2, 4, 8, 16, ___, ___

45, 40, 35, ___, ___

1, 4, 9, 16, ___, ___

B. Pattern Art:

Create a rangoli or tile pattern using geometric shapes (triangles, squares, circles).
Use color and symmetry. Paste it in your notebook or on an A4 sheet.

C. Daily Object Patterns:

Observe and click/take pictures of 3 patterns around your home or neighborhood


(like window grills, floor tiles, or brick walls). Describe the pattern in words and
identify the repeating element.

2. Lines and Angles


A. Concept Practice:

Define: Line, Line Segment, Ray, Acute Angle, Right Angle, Obtuse Angle, Straight
Angle.

Draw and label each with a scale and protractor.

B. Identify Angles Around You:

List 5 objects at home and estimate the type of angles they show (e.g., a laptop
screen forms an obtuse angle when open).

C. Angle Hunt:

Draw a clock showing 3 different times. Mark and name the angle formed by the
hour and minute hands.

D. Angle Art:

Make a creative "Angles Collage" using cut-outs from magazines/newspapers to


highlight and label different types of angles (Acute, Right, Obtuse, etc.).
Math Board Game

Objective: Create a simple board game with math questions at each step.

Materials: Cardboard, dice, markers.

Concepts: Include topics like multiplication, division, fractions, or word problems.

Submission Instructions:

1) Submit in a decorated folder or notebook.

2) Write neatly and label all drawings.

3) Be creative and original!
