UNIFORM GUIDELINES

The United Soccer League has strict uniform guidelines to ensure the integrity of the competition and to
adhere to FIFA and USSF regulations. It is the responsibility of the player and the team to ensure these
uniform guidelines are being properly followed. Uniform policies directly related to the player include:

COMPRESSION/UNDERGARMENTS
Slide pants, compression shorts, and shirts may be worn
under the uniform. All slide pants and compression shorts
must be the same color as the predominant color of the
shorts. Any shirts worn under the uniform must be the
same as the predominant color as the uniform sleeve.
All players wearing slide pants shall wear the same style,
which may not extend more than two inches below the
uniform shorts and beyond the top of the knee.

Per the IFAB Laws of the Game (4.5), Equipment (including


undergarments) must not have anypolitical, religious or
personal slogans, statements or images. Players must
not reveal undergarments that show political, religious,
personal slogans,statements or images, or advertising
other than the manufacturer’s logo.

CAPTAIN ARMBAND
The captains of all clubs are required to wear the League-
issued captain’s armband. These armbands cannot be
altered or customized without the approval of the
League.

LEAGUE PATCH
The USL League One patch must be permanently affixed
to the left sleeve of the jersey.

SOCKS
All tape around socks, or socks that are visible under the
team issued socks, must match the primary color of the
team socks.

The team of a player who does not follow these


uniform guidelines will be sanctioned by the League.
