Module outcomes – Part A


Upon successful completion of this section of the module, the student will be able to:
• Implement effective time management strategies to prioritise tasks, meet
deadlines, and balance academic, professional, and personal responsibilities.
• Develop a well-defined set of personal objectives and create action plans to
continuously improve and achieve personal growth and performance targets.
• Demonstrate understanding of own strengths, weaknesses, values, and beliefs.
• Demonstrate effective awareness of emotions, motivations, and how they
influence behaviours.

Module outcomes – Part B


Upon successful completion of this section of the module, the student will be able to:
• Correctly perform calculations involving integers, fractions, and decimals and apply
appropriate mathematical rules.
• Correctly use notations, prefixes and a calculator to determine averages, round off
numbers and demonstrate an understanding of roots and powers.

• Correctly solve problems and perform calculations involving ratios, proportions and
percentages.
• Correctly solve equations and change the subject of a formula and perform
calculations with interest, hire purchases, profit/losses, VAT and exchange rates.
• Correctly perform data calculations measuring central tendency and basic
probability and calculate information from different types of graphs.
• Correctly perform measurement calculations and conversions different
international units and demonstrate an understanding and application of the tax
table.

Module outcomes – Part C


Upon successful completion of this section of the module, the student will be able to:
• Use Operating software, for example the Microsoft Windows operating system, to
manage and work with folders, files and individual documents, and to search for
specialised applications in the Microsoft Store or equivalent application.
• Create an email account, for example MS Outlook, to create, send, reply to and
forward emails, either with or without attachments; create contact groups, recurring
appointments and auto-reply messages; and clean up a mailbox folder.
• Use Word-processing software, for example MS Word, to create, edit, modify and
save the content of document files; and to add comments and track changes when
proofreading documents.
• Use Presentation software, for example MS PowerPoint, to create, edit and save a
presentation; add slide content and special effects; record speaker notes and
comments; use the normal, outline, reading and slide sorter views; and prepare to
deliver a presentation with supporting handouts.
• Use Spreadsheet software, for example MS Excel, to create, modify and save
spreadsheet files; insert or edit data in a worksheet and format worksheet cells; sort,
filter and group data records; create simple and conditional formulas; create and edit
basic charts.

SPECIFIC ASSESSMENT GUIDELINES – AN OVERVIEW


TYPE DESCRIPTION/CONTENT
Part A: There is one assignment to be completed on the specified date. All

Part B: There is one online test to be completed within the specified dates.
Online Test All content in Part B will be covered in the online test.
Part C: There are five online assessments to complete within the specified

3. PASS REQUIREMENTS
