In this day and age where the world is in constant change, the necessity for

experienced and qualified employers is at its peak. Recent research indicates that
what employers actually consider as an eligible candidate for a job position is
someone whose experience will bring something different to the table. Therefore,
the government shouldn’t turn a blind eye on how the youth is being taught to
satisfy what is being required in the working field.

Having work-related subjects at school will definitely play a fundamental role on

how well prepared a student is for a specific job. However, this does not seem to
apply in most schools, for aspects such as theory and old-fashioned topics have
more weight in today’s syllabuses. Therefore, preparing students for what they will
undoubtedly face in their near future seem quite pivotal.

Another factor, which is highly related to the previous one, is apprentice schemes.
It goes without saying that exposing the youth to actual work will have a great
impact in how they perceive their aspirations in life. Not only can they experience
first-hand what they previously learned at schools, but they can also benefit from
this in terms of what career path they want to pursue in the future. For all these
reasons, applying apprentice schemes at school looks like a logical decision.

Taking all this in consideration, if the government were to implement subjects

which include work-related topics as well as complementary apprentice schemes,
they would definitely have a far more qualified young workers in the workforce.
Revised Version (More C1/C1+ Style)

In today's rapidly evolving world, the demand for experienced and highly qualified
employees has never been greater. Research suggests that employers seek
candidates who can bring unique skills and expertise to the workplace. Therefore,
governments should not overlook the importance of preparing young people to
meet the demands of the job market.

One effective method is incorporating work-related subjects into school curricula.

While these subjects would significantly enhance students’ readiness for the
workforce, they are often overshadowed by theoretical and outdated content. Thus,
ensuring that students gain practical knowledge relevant to their future careers is
essential.

Closely linked to this is the implementation of apprentice schemes. Exposure to

real-life work environments allows young people to apply what they have learned in
school while gaining a clearer perspective on their career aspirations. Not only
does hands-on experience reinforce theoretical knowledge, but it also enables
students to make informed decisions about their professional paths. Given these
benefits, integrating apprenticeships into education systems appears to be a logical
step forward.

Taking all this into consideration, if governments were to introduce work-related

subjects alongside well-structured apprenticeship programs, they would
undoubtedly foster a generation of more skilled and adaptable professionals.
